Ted is wild. After work either Josh or I take him on long walks to try to expend as much of his energy as possible. To make the time pass more quickly and to ensure we are walking long enough, I’ve started listening to podcasts. One of my favorites is Happier with Gretchen Rubin.
In a recent “Holiday Hack” mini episode, Gretchen and her sister Elizabeth Craft discuss their personal one-word or one-phrase themes for 2017. Gretchen explains that focusing all of your ideas and energies into one word makes it easy to remember and more actionable. I love this idea.
When thinking about my one word theme for the year I couldn’t come up with just one word. Create was the first word that popped into my head. Intentional was the second word that popped into my head. SO I’m going to have a one-phrase theme for 2017. Create with intentionality.
Create meaningful relationships. Create sincere gifts for those who surround me. Have intentional conversations. Create with a purpose and a goal in mind. Be intentional with time spent with family and friends.
What will be your one word or one phrase theme for 2017? AMB
